Norbert's very energetic onstage. He looked like he deserved the Tony when he performed. I'm just glad that Spamalot won best musical. That's what I was rooting for.

Yea. I'm soo happy with the results. With Spamalot, Norbert, and Light in the Piazza winning, I am thrilled. Even though I'm happy with the results for Best Leading Actress in a Musical, I was rooting for Sutton Foster. I'm a little sad that she didn't win. She is sooo amazing, and if she keeps it up, she could very well be my next Idina.

Speaking of Idina....did any of you watch the webcast?I missed it,and that was her little presentation thingy.I felt really ticked because I really wanted to get to see her up there again (if you watched closely early in the telecast, after Hugh performed his first number, you got to see Taye and Idina(for like a second, but still)...okay back on topic!).
I am THRILLED that Norbert won the Tony! You should've seen me running arouind the house screaming "Norbie!" and jumping around like a kangaroo or something.I loved the DRS performance too.I may go and buy the OBCR now!Yay!Anything to help me out...I threw my RENT book (I was holding it) across the living room when they called his name.

I definitely think DRS deserved Best Musical... Spamalot is boring and immature, IMHO. I never liked Monty Python, always seemed rather stupid and childish to me. But Monty Python was made for the screen and should stay there.
...but YAY Norbert!

Yeah Norbert!!! Lol, I loved how he was able to laugh @ himself (and his name), and he really is amazing! and the lil romance with Michelle....oOoOoO! I wish DRS had won Best Musical. I've never seen Spamalot, but it looks good and I LOVE Monty Python. But it didn't look anywere near as good as DRS. Anyways, great show. Hey has anyone seen Spellign Bee or Light in the Piazza? the SB performane was hysterical! Light in the Piazza looked alil boring imo, but anyone seen it and able to tell me if it really is?

Ah, I loved the Tony's. I loved how, when Nathan Lane made fun of Norbert, he kind of laughed, but looked so lost, and turned to Michelle for help. Too cute.
When Sara Ramirez got up in that dress, I swear I thought she was going to pop out. There are many times when I wish I was that big...then was not one of them.
I haven't seen Light of the Piazza (I think it would bore me, I don't know, it seems tawdry) nor Spelling Bee, but I've seen Spamalot and DRS (I'm seeing both again this summer with my parents (Spamalot) and my best friends (DRS)) and I have to say that I found DRS to be lots more entertaining and much more my style...
...I don't know, it may be because the movie's one of my favorite movies and my cousin, best friend, and I can quote nearly all of it.

I think LiTP would bore me as well (judging by the clip and the music I've heard) but I REALLY wanna see Spelling Bee! I want to see Spamalot as well, but, as everyone really has been saying, DRS was just better...lol, I personally just feel Spamalot won because of more of its blockbuster quality, I don't know. And the Sara Ramierez thing...lol, that was too funny! I too was half expecting her dress to like pop off. And the Norbert and Michelle thing was too cute! Though I had heard he was married before, so obviously he got divorced...

I personally saw the preformances like this: Light in the Piazza was WONDERFUL (in a different way than DRS, but still excellent), Spelling Bee was AWESOME (I laughed so hard, I know what cast album I'll be getting!), La Cage had INCREDIBLE choreography (and to think all the Cagelles are men!), and was wonderful, Sweet Charity was OK (I found the dancing to be great, but Christina's voice deeply disappointed me, especially that last note), of course DRS and Norbert were SPECTACULAR, and Spamalot... was ok. I didn't see why so many think it's so great.
I personally would have been happy with anyone BUT Spamalot winning (it seems to be commercial abiltiy over quality). GG called me last night and we both were ranting and raving over it. Both of us liked all the preformances but Spam (and Charity), and I was sad when it won Best Musical. I banged a wall. I was EXTREMELY happy with Norb's win! And his speech: How incredibly sweet! I lvoe that guy. DE

I know it was recent, because I remember him talking about how he's had to get sitters because it's the first time he hasn't had someone to take care of his girls and he thinks (rightly) that they're too young to see their father in DRS.

Oh, thank God he thinks they're too young to see him in DRS! I hate stars who'll take their, like, 5 year old to see them in an R-rated movie. All you can think is "What an irresponsible parent!" And Norbert's performance can sometimes get over the top, especially for a like 8 year old (I don't actually know his daughters' ages) 2 c. And DE, I definitly agree that I was rooting for like anything but Spamalot (though mostly DRS). SB looked absolutley hilarious, LiTP was pretty (though I can't see myself sitting through it)...It was just Spamalot that was good, but not great. I would probably see it, but I am still pretty mad it won best musical

Spelling Bee was hilarious!! I definitely need that soundtrack. And I agree, I would have been happy with anything but Spamalot winning.

For the record, the Spelling Bee bit at the Tonys didn't do the show justice. It's infinitely better and sweeter than that bit.

But Monty Python was made for the screen and should stay there. ...but YAY Norbert! Yea...I totally agree. I'm from a family where everyone but me and my mom is obsessed with Monty Python. I've always found it really stupid and immature. I agree even more that it should stay on the screen. I hate it when shows taken from movies win. I mean, The Producers is great, but I was mad that it won so much. It was just like...give the award to something completely original. About Light in the Piazza...I haven't seen it, but I LOVE the music. I can definately see how it would bore some people, but it is really beautiful music!!
