So this past week I have been in NYC for a broadway camp here is most of what happened of what i can remember lol
so on Tuesday Sutton Foster came! she sang a song that is going to be on her CD that she is currently working on right now. She is also in rehearsals for a new show. Laney asked her if she sang in the shower and Sutton said "The Question is do I shower? well actually no i don't sing in the shower" laney: "what about when you were little?" sutton: "yes.. i did a lot" i asked her to sing something from Little Women and she said she couldn't cause she didn't have any sheet music and so i asked to sing it accapella and she said that she really couldn't do that but then michael rafter started playing Gimme Gimme from Millie and she was like "no michael i can't believe you are making me do this!" and well she sang some of it! and i taped the whole thing!! smile.gif
On Wednesday we saw Hairspray!! and my favorite character is Shelley! The show was amazing and blew me away! me and laney were dancing in our seats the whole time! and during you can't stop the beat the whole theatre was standing up and dancing! it was amazing! after the show we did a meet and greet with the cast. when donna (Shelley) came out me and laney cheered sooo loud! and she gave us the thumbs up! it was soo cool! we told her that Shelley is our favorite character and she signed our playbills and put "I'll see you as Shelley someday! Love Donna" it was sooo cool!
on thursday idina was supposed to come but she didn't for some reason.. so i was upset but they told us she was coming saturday
on friday we had regular acting singing dancing classes and then we got to go to a recording studio and record a song for a tv show michael rafter is trying to get on the air! it was a really cool experience!
and now for the moment you have all been waiting for... IDINA
well they didn't let us get our cameras and so i didn't get to video tape (i was really really upset) but still it was awesome! i asked her the funnies thing that happened on the rent set and ofcourse it was about taye but im not going to type that up now cause i still have a lot but either i will or laney will later! i promise!! i have tried 4 times now to get a picture with idina still have not gotten one sad.gif laney was lucky enough to get one her first time which was yesterday but i did get a hug!! then once she left umm.. this is the embarrasing part but i will put it anyway well i started sobbing cause i didn't get a picture with her.. but its ok! the rest of the day was almost made up for it lol
it was finally time for our show that night and i was excited cause heather who we met for the first time that night came to see us then we went to rent together (more about that later) i performed the original choragraphy from fosse the song Dancin' Man and All that Jazz from chicago then at the end we sang a song called the prayer then a song called on my way which we sang WITH Sutton... Foster! omg it was amazing! i had this huge grin on my face the whole time!! and couldn't stop smiling! when we finished singing she was like right in front of me and i yelled "I LOVE YOU SUTTON!" and she smiled and waved at me! it was really cool!
now.. to RENT.. all i can say is I love Kelly Karbacz who plays maureen right now and was just amazing! better than when i saw her in Janurary! Me and Laney made her a sign and during over the moon we held it up it said "WE LOVE U KELLY MOO!!" she didn't see it then because she was like spazzing out with the mooing.. but we could tell that the actor who played benny saw it cause he was smiling a little bit at it. then at the curtain call I held it up again and thats when she saw it! she stared at it and gasped and put her hand over her mouth and then mouthed the words thank you too us then i waved at her and she waved back and blew kisses at me! it was sooo cool! after the show we went outside to wait for kelly to come out when she did me laney heather and missy started screaming really loud i gave her the poster and she was sooo nice and said she loved it! then she read our note on the back of it. then i asked her to sign my shirt and she said "Do you want me to sign it really big like im the only one signing it? or small?" and so ofcourse i said big! then i gave her a picture of me and her from January and she said that she remembered me and remembered taking the picuture! i was sooo touched! then i showed her my cow and where she signed it and its on the stomache and she said "I signed it there? ::points to stomache of cow:: I usually sign it here ::points to the cows behind:: I laughed really hard we then talked for like 30 minutes and she then went to put all the stuff me laney missy and heather gave her in her dressing room but the door was locked and she started kicking at the door and it was really funny! finally she got in and then about 10 minutes later she came out we talked a little longer then she said goodbye and gave us more hugs! then i told her that this was one of the best nights of my life and she said "aww that is sooo sweet! thank you so much" and she held my hand and squeezed it and gave me one last hug. the funny thing is though that she left with the actor who played benny.. hehe i think maureen's and benny's just have something are meant to be together smile.gif
so we had a great time and i am very sad to be back home:( only 3 months and 6 days til i go back though! smile.gif and this is the longest i have ever posted ever on anywhere..
