Hi all! Ok, not sure how much interest this is to everyone but for two more days the alan menken website has the original ending to LIttle Shop ending, its really really good, but its going to be gone after the 22nd so if you want to see it then look fast! www.alanmenken.info/downloads/downloads1.html |

I've actually never seen either movie version...are they different from the musical? And which version is this ending to?

this is the ending to the musical version with Rick Moranis and Ellen Greene, it's the original ending like in the stage musical with 'Don't Feed the Plants'

Wait...*in the stage show, it ends with the plant eating everyone and the chorus singing "Don't Feed the Plants," right? If the movie ends the same way, how could there be an "unhappy ending" version?* ::is confusifyed::

*originally* the movie had the same ending as the stage show but the test audiences hated it, so then they reshot the ending so that Seymour and Audrey got married. The link has footage of the first ending with 'Don't Feed the Plants', the ending that everyone hated and was later replaced.

I can understand changing the ending. I personally like the unhappy ending, but happy endings are good too. I think this is on the DVD of the movie. I'm not sure though.

it was on the first release of the DVD but then legal stuff got in the way and those ones were recalled and the dvd was rereleased without the original ending.
