134....Thanks! It wen't really well. My timing was off by like a half a second at one point, but I was able to fix it. Plus, the people in charge of casting all commented that my song was very challenging.

133 Congrats about it going well! 137 I have, like, all of the NYTW songs...but YouSendIt won't let me upload the .zip file. Thanks! But I got the whole thing from Mega Upload. I think Jonathon made the right choice in replacing Right Brain with One Song Glory. And I love Adam Pascal even more now.

Oh, man, don't get me started on that Roger. Or Right Brain, wow. I think JL did improve quite a lot of the show between the NYTW and OBCR versions-- making Maureen and Joanne much more rounded, adding more about Roger and Mimi's relationship, etc.-- but I think there are some elements (that often pop up in fanfiction, for instance) that got lost. The voicemail where Angel and Collins go to steal an air conditioner-- it's just a good indicator of both them and their relationship that I liked. Also, with songs like "You're a Fool" and all, the NYTW version gets a lot more in-depth with Roger's and Mark's relationship.

131 Yeah. That's pretty much how I feel. And I actually cry durring the Finale with Collins's part: Time to be on your way comrade- it's been 525,600 moments clad. We were nomads together in a no mans land! Where man's the only beast who pays rent. And if it's spent, at least he's got to stay afloat. And he's got to have a damn good coat. Which you were, like an angel! But it's over.... Goodbye love, goodbye love! Goodbye love, goodbye! Farewell Angel. And I never cry in songs. That just is really sad.

130....First day of rehearsal for Black Patent Leather Shoes! I'm excited. Plus, my director might need some more people to do Merrily We Roll Along, so I'll do that too if she needs me.

129 This is what happens when you give my friends and me socks, cardboard, and a video camera: www.musicalsocks.com/sock_puppet.htmlYeah, we're crazy, yeah, it still needs a lot of work, and we're probably going to reshoot some songs, but this is what we have so far. It was mucho fun to make though. As a heads up, the videos take a little while to load. Btw, I'm the Maureen sock in Take Me or Leave Me. As always, I love your banner, I Will Be Popular.

127.....Ya know what sucks? Having rehearsal during the Tonys. Come on, isn't it supposed to be like a holiday for theatre nerds?!?!

Thankies. Those videos are like crack. They remind me of this icon I found online because they are from Rent and made me laugh for about 5 minutes straight. Mimi's face is priceless.

125 Shame on me for double posting. Sutton LOST!!! How???!!! AND Drowsy Chaperone lost! The Tonys made me sad. But TDC did win like 5 other Tonys. Did anyone else's TV black out for a while at the beginning? Cause I missed the TDC performance and 4 awards. Oh well.

Drowsy Chaperone should have won, but at least it got five awards. I can understand Sutton not winning cuz, even though her role is physically challenging, it's not very deep and dramatic like LaChanze's and Patti's. However, I think Patti LuPone should have won over LaChanze. Oh well...and yay History boys!

123 I just saw Chicago for the first time on Friday (and it's now on top of my 'Things To Buy' list), and the end of the Cell Block Tango reminded me of the scene in Wicked with the monkies and whatnot. Don't you think?

122.....Wow! I had never thought of that before, but yeah!
Yay! PBS did a broadcast of Light in the Piazza yesterday. Unfortunately my tape got cut off halfway through Octet.

121 Three things are certain in my life.
1. I'm going to NY for Wicked Day! And seeing Drowsy Chaperone and POTO while up there. Maybe I'll stop by the Gershwin just to stage door. He he he.
2. I'm seeing Wicked when it comes back to Tampa! Yay! Hopefully Megan and Sho will be in the touring cast by then. I adore Megan.
3. I'm never having kids. I am NOT a little kid person. Unfortunatly, I have to finish this week AND next week of looking after kids less than half my age. And it's not even minimum wage. *sigh* Had to explain the concept of Broadway to a 9 year old today. I brought my messanger bag covered with Wicked/RENT buttons and she asked what Wicked was. I said that it was a musical on Broadway. She didn't know what that was. And then a 9 year old said she loved RENT and I asked her if she understood everything. She said she did, but I know I didn't know about some of that stuff when I was 9.

My younger sister got into Rent with the rest of us when she was 9 or 10. You know, she didn't get everything and still might not, but, damn, does she love that show. And frankly, I think if you 'get it'-- not the sex or drugs or transvestites or whatever else, but the root message-- then you can certainly be a fan. It's Jill's friend Denise who loves the show but thinks gay people are weird and shouldn't be allowed to marry that doesn't make sense.
