Just thinking, didn't we have a thread a long time ago about which musicals had the best openings? Well, here we can put what we think have the best endings. For starters:
Les Miserable Hairspray Once On This Island (Why We Tell the Story is like the theme song for my theatre program) Avenue Q Showboat (so sad, but happy) Carousel (again, so sad, but happy)
I'll think of more later.

Sweeney Todd (I love how it ties to the beginning) Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Wicked (of course) The Phantom of the Opera (especially if it is performed well)

The Phantom of the Opera (especially if it is performed well) Yeah...I agree with the whole "if it's performed well." When it's not it just looks stupid.
