Just thinking, didn't we have a thread a long time ago about which musicals had the best openings? Well, here we can put what we think have the best endings. For starters:

Les Miserable
Hairspray
Once On This Island (Why We Tell the Story is like the theme song for my theatre program)
Avenue Q
Showboat (so sad, but happy)
Carousel (again, so sad, but happy)

I'll think of more later.
