And yet again, you continue to break rules. Rules are in place for a reason, as is the enforcement of them. There are legal issues as well as plain consideration. Such as for your last post, we've made it clear in the rules that you are not to change the font color. This is because seveal of the moderators are colorblind and it makes it difficult to do their jobs when things like that are played with.

Also, I didn't delete your posts yet, I merely locked them to give you time to sort your ideas into the appropriate place. They will be deleted in the future. I didn't have the option to move all of them because you started new threads which are impossible to integrate into an already started one or you made a post containing several things that should be in several other places, not just one. This has happened to more than just you, I promise and was not done to focus on you alone. By locking the threads, it's a reminder to others not to do the same, hence keeping the board clean and everything in its place.

You did not 'get in trouble' for anything. Trust me, the BoZ do not hand out 'trouble' lightly - if we did half the board would be blocked. You were merely corrected. Again this happens alot. There are people on this board who have actual connections to the show and to the cast, so many of the rules are in place to protect them as well. Bootlegs are illegal and will not be traded in public on this site (note, IN PUBLIC). Pictures people post are fine as long as they do not explicitedly say "Look at what I got from my blahblahblah bootleg!" I'm quite aware how Ricky of WickedonBroadway runs his site - he's actually a close friend of mine in real life. We are running this board how we feel it should be. Just a reminder to everyone - there will also be NO discussion about the private lives of the actors - it's PRIVATE!

Hopefully all confusification will be cleared up by this and by reading the rules. Verdigris has been in operation since January or Feb of last year (OMUG - almost a full year you guys!) and the reason we have over 450 members is because we are organized. You have to be. With organization comes rules and with rules responsibility. However, with the lack of moderators lately things have gotten more strict for percisely that reason. If you ask those fans who have been a round for a while, you'll find that the BoZ have worked hard to keep this up and running though several trials and tribulations - A spammer, Galinda turning the board pink, strike threats - and have continued to work hard in keeping Verdigris a safe, organized and happy place.

Ah, my darling Caitlinda, you said pretty much everything, huh? See, thats why I love you, but I should add my two cents as well, I suppose, seeing as I'm the Board Mama.

So. Here's the deal. When I started Verdigris back in January, I had high hopes for it - wouldn't it be cool if I could have one of those boards that everyone loved, and went to all the time, and that had all the information first? That would be soooo cool. But I also had my doubts. I really sort of figured it would just fizzle out. Obviously, I got what I wanted, but I strongly believe that the only reason I did was because of how things are run. The BoZ were formed once the board began to grow and a few minor problems began to arise. I wanted things to be run well, I wanted to avoid problems, so I took my five favorite gals -- yes, I know, I know, boo to favoritism, but it wasn't just cuz they were my favorites -- they also happened to have great skills. We had a PR major, a journalism major, people who knew how to be professional and polite and run a tight shift. And I have to admit, part of the reason for the BoZ was so Cate and Chance could spam the hell out of a board and nobody would complain. Cuz, yes, there is a moderator board for us to discuss problems and warnings, and stupid-everyday crap. There's also a few more chapters of That Girl that y'all will never see hehe But they're goooooood aren't they, Cate? Aaaaanyway, back on topic. The rules were formed, many long before they were ever broken, to try to keep the growing number of people under control. They were amended as needed.

At one time, there were six BoZ, but a lot of us have wandered away. Most if us just aren't that into Wicked anymore. Love it? Sure. Enough to frequent message boards and post? Not really. Quite honestly, I'm rarely here unless my attention is brought to something, or I decide to make sure there's nothing here that could get me in trouble. I am one of the ones Cate mentioned that works for the show. I've worked there since March, when I was waaaayyyy more OMGWICKED!!! and my employers are well aware of this site and board, and it has been more than alluded to that they do occasionally check up on it to make sure I'm not doing things I shouldn't. So. No rumors, nothing that hasn't been officially announced, no bootlegs.

There are lots of forums that don't have the same rules as ours, so if anyone has issue with how things are run here, they're free to leave. We have over 400 people now, so we must be doing something right. If our "something right" isn't right for you, then feel free to go. I won't be offended in the least.
