Hey everyone! Just a quick question about the site - I don't mean to be rude or anything, but has everyone been lately? It seems really dull around here - there are like 18,000 previous posts but recently no one has been posting. I don't see a lot of WICKED opinions, comments, questions or news or anything. Is it because there are too many rules? Too many moderators? Again, I'm not criticizing, just wondering...  |

I think it could be that people have run out of things to say. I know I do, and part of that is how long people have been posting on this board. If you're new, you have more to add than the veterans, who have said all that stuff a while ago in the previous posts. I don't speak for everyone, but I think it's true for most.

Hi. Unfortunately, most of us have lives outside of Wicked. All of the BoZ (mods - of whom there are only 3 active at most so there are definitely NOT too many of us) are college students with jobs. This board is coming up on it's one year anniversary and through that year we've had a lot to talk about. In the beginning Verdigris was jumping like munchkins on crack (llamoc  )but since then a lot of the nearly 500 people have gone on with their own thing. Some of them have drifted just from the board, some have drifted from Wicked completely. We try to encourage posts made by all members, provided there isn't a topic already started and that it is appropriate (with credible sources if it's news). Yes, we havea lot of rules, but they have worked just fine in the past and again they are in place for the safety of the board and it's members. Thank you, Cate |

Hugs sista Caitlinda My two cents: Our rules exist to avoid hostilities and unpleasantness among members and to keep our board a credible source for Wicked information. The BoZ are very busy people but I think it's been proven more than once that we all care about this site and its reputation very much. As for no one posting- let's face it- Idina and Kristin were a HUGE part of the news and fandom on this site, and now that they've moved on, a lot of people have moved on with them. Which is understandable. Life goes on, we develop new interests. I dunno if anyone else has noticed this, but the lj communities have reeeeeally slowed down lately too, compared to what they were a year ago or even in the summer. It's not just the board. Mon. |
