On the Today Show this morning, Katie asked Kristin if she would ever go back to playing Glinda if given the chance. Kristin said she would but that her schedule is very busy right now, though there ARE talks of a movie. Just a little update. *SQUEE* Do we know anything else on that subject, Cate?

Unfortunately, that's all Kristin said in the interview but there are two more this week so we'll see if she says anything else.
Tomorrow night she is on Last Call with Carson and on Friday she's on David Letterman.

AHHHHHHHH!!!!! You just made my day!!!!! I think I'd hyperventilate if there was a movie. Especially if it was Kristin and Idina.....

I think that if they made a movie, it would be on the book. At least, if they made it now. I mean, think about it. Ticket sales are doing so well; shows are selling out. If they made a movie based on the musical right now, they would comprimise ticket sales. Some people would be like, "Oh, why do I need to pay for a ticket, when I can just rent the movie?" If they made a movie on the musical, they'd probably wait awhile.

That's a really good point, but I think that if they do a movie based off of the book, they should at least try to incorporate some of the music, even just as underscore. I mean, so many people are big fans of the musical but not the book, so that might draw them in a little more. Just a thought.
