Okay, as for lyrics my favorite lyrics are:
Don't make me laugh! He he They were popular! (i love the way she says it)
and music is when in Defying Gravity the first time idina sings "I think i'll try defying gravity, etc etc" (2 min, 5 seconds into the song) and you can hear the piano going "do-do-do do-do-do do-do-do"...idk, it helps to listen to it...

One of my favorite parts is in "One Short Day";
Glinda: It's all grand! Elphaba: And it's all green!
That's so cute! ~Amanda

Favorite lyric? That's hard. Probably...
"Don't wish, don't start. Wishing only wounds the heart."
And my favorite music is in WWotE. It starts after Nessarose says "First of all, I can't harbor a fugitive, I'm an unelected official." I also like the music in "No One Mourns the Wicked."

I love the lyric: Kiss me goodbye, I'm defying gravity and you cant pull me down!
I'm not sure why but I just love it...whenever i have to use a quote on my profile or something from Wicked, I usually use that one ;D

favorite lyric: "You'll be with me, like a handprint on my heart." It brings tears to my eyes every time.
I love the dissonant chords in No One Morns the Wicked. It's an indicator that things aren't as they seem, that *Elphaba is still alive.*

I love the lyrics to...all the songs. Lol. I really like "like a handprint on my heart" as well! And in "what is this feeling?" i LOVED "unusually and exceedingly peculiar and all together quite impossible to describe..." and then Idina goes "Blonde!". I just cracked up when I saw that. And I love the musica for 'No One Mourns the Wicked' and "Defying Gravity'

Oh goodness... I have two songs that are jsut wonderful lyrics, in my opinion.
The first is from Dancing Through Life: "You're perfect:"- Glinda "You're perfect:"- Fiyero "So we're perfect together, Born to be forever"- Both
the Second is long, but I think that it's one of Glinda's best moments. It's the one from Thank Goodness after Fiyero runs off: "That's why I couldn't be happier. No, I couldn't be happier. Though it is, I admit The tiniest bit Unlike I anticipated..."
But I love every song, esp. DG.

Hmm. Well mine are:
"I'm through accepting limits...cos someone says theyre so. Some things I cannot change, but till I try I'll never know." (Most of DF for that matter) and also:
"I wasn't born for the rose and pearl, I'm not that girl."
"That doesn't change the ache we feel when reality sets back in."
"So if you care to find me, look to the western sky. As someone told me lately, everyone deserves a chance to fly."
"For all this joy we know who we've got to thank, thank goodness."
"There's a kinda a sorta a cost..."
"You'll be popular...just not quite as popular as me."
"It's because I'm in this chair, and you felt sorry for me...well isn't that right."
"Because I knew you, I've been changed for good."

I love Cheno's high notes at the end of 'No One Mourns the Wicked'--when she sings "Good news" after the Ozians sing "No one mourns the wicked" I love the music for 'Dancing Through Life', when it starts to speed up after "learn to live the unexamined life..." ALL of Popular. "Every so often we long to steal To the land of what might-have-been But that doesn't soften the ache we feel When reality sets back in" "Don't wish, don't start Wishing only wounds the heart" I love the irony of 'A Sentimental Man'. I love the part where he sings (this is in the show, not the cast recording) "It's time to have your chance tooooo-" and then Elphaba cuts him off with a "NO!" "So if you care to find me, look to the Western Sky! As someone told me lately, everyone deserves the chance to fly! And if I'm flying solo, at least I'm flying free To those who'd ground me, take a message back from me..." You all know the rest. I love the line "As someone told me lately: Ev'ryone deserves the chance to fly!" Mwhaha. "Because happy is what happens when all your dreams come true! ...well, isn't it?" "Borrow the moonlight Until it is through And know, I'll be here, holding you As long as you're mine" "You'll be with me, like a handprint on my heart And now, whatever way our stories end, I know you have rewritten mine by being my friend" Wow, this was alot, llam.

The one that always gives me chills is from No Good Deed: "Sure I meant well, well look at what well-meant did..." It's just got some incredible word play in there and I remember having to look up the lyrics to figure out exactly what Idina was singing there. So intricate and just GREAT. ;D

I REALLY love all the parts where Elphaba is singing a spell UNDER what someone else is singing. I think that sounds so very very cool and the melodies she sings are so haunting...
The best is when she's chanting under Nessa's line "just the girl in the mirror" but the one under the wizard's "since once I had my own day in the sky" is very cool too.
Ok I had to come back in here and edit - it doesn't count cause it isn't in the show anymore... but "which way is the next keg of winkie beer" made me spit out a mouthful of cheerios the first time I heard it.

"unlimited...my future is unlimited"
I just love this...but it makes me sad because when she sings how she is limited in the end...
as for the music...hmm...I think in the first song on the cd, when the french horn(I think) is doing the Unlimited theme...it's beautiful
