You Know You're Obsessed With Wicked When...

Here's one:
...you have Wicked pictures as your desktop wallpaper and if they relate to a song, the song pops into your head every time you see it.
I have the One Short Day picture on my desktop and that song always goes through my head.

Another one is:
...you think "Wicked Witch of the West" is too long and you will forever call her "Elphaba" or her related nicknames.

HA!I yelled at my friend the other day because she was said"Coll, your way to obsessed with that wicked witch", and I screamed"HER NAME IS ELPHABA!". So now everytime she brings up Elphie she says her name wrong. Yesterday is was Elafiba.

Ahh, I remember hearing aboutt his girl in one of your stories. Elfaboo, Elfma, things like that. I remember after I first saw the show, I just *couldn't* remember Elphaba's name for the life of me. It just kept coming out wrong. Finally, I managed to get it stuck in my mind for good. It only took about a day, seeing how many tmies i listened to the CD.

My friend called her Alphabet. Also, she can't get the being of NGD so she made up her own words. I now have an autographed program insert signed by the REAL Idina Menzel, and Nicole, who wrote on the back

"Elaka mushroom mushroon, love Idina."

Nicole is such a ditz sometimes. She also wrote "Sarah, I think you're hot, love that guy in the show."

And yes, this is the same Nicole who didn't know who Taye Diggs was when he was standing right in front of her. "Nicole TAKE A PICTURE!" "OF WHAT???"

You know you're obsessed with Wicked when...

*you sing "The Wizard and I" for auditions for a show, and when your director tells you that you did well, you say, "Oh, I learned that from Idina Menzel," and go off on a whole tangent of Idina's left story and how wonderful Wicked is

*you refuse to go to a matinee to see it because then you can't meet any of the cast members

--When you are asked many times by many people if you work for Wicked or are in the cast because you know so much about it.
--When you spend your free time converting people to Wicked fans
--When you stand outside the stage door and just answer all the questions people have about the show
--When while waiting outside the stage door you become friends with all the people around you
--When you wait 1 hour in the freezing cold just to see Idina come out in all her glory
--When you go out shopping and either buy things for the cast members or say, wow, so and so would look great in this
--When you stand outside another theater and on a microphone shout "Today's performance of Moving Out is sold out. Proceed to the Gershwin where Wicked is going on." Only you weren't lying because Moving Out really was sold out, but you were still asked to go because you were giving "bad advice" to people
--When a highlight of your life is having one of the cast members congratulate you on your bags and shirt choices
--When you write to the cast members and they remember you because you always send them things
--When you can't remember not being obsessed with the show
And that's what I got for now

Just thought of some
--When they're doing your mic check and they tell you to sing a song you immedietly start singing a wicked song
--When you see The Producers and they make a crack about the Wicked Witch and there's silence because it was a huge diss you say quietly (but all the people around you can hear you, and you want to shout), "You did not just diss Elphaba!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".
--You and your friends make jokes like
"Hey Norbert"
"Yeah"
" Do you see that bird over there"
"Oh- you mean..."
"No, no, not Kristin"
And then proceed to tell the cast members about them, and they find it enjoyable, or at least pretend to.
--When you can recognize all of the ensemble members by sight
--When in your head you make frequent comparisons of wicked and something else

lol, I have fun times with Wicked

Oh, one more
--When you write poems and stories for school about Wicked and or Idina Menzel just to educate everybody

You hafta do a floorset at work and after almost breaking your foot, you hum *Defying Gravity* to ignore the pain and make the time go by. That and it keeps you from talking to the clothes

...when your calender is filled with Wicked dates. (i.e. The release of the tie-in edition of the book, the tonys where underneath is a picture of a witch's hat, etc)
