When your teacher gives you a free write in your journal, you write about the differences between 'Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West' and Wicked the musical.

(1) You repeatedly watch the Macy's Parade Clip of One Short Day, Today Show' Popular, and Latenight's Defying Gravity just so you can get every hand/foot/face movement/expression right , then quickly listen to the OCR so you can learn and remember all the choreography.
(2) You cast all your friends in the different roles of Wicked in your head, then persuade them to put on your on "show" of Wicked this summer in your own house in front of your friends and family, just for fun.
(3) You listen to only the very beginning of "Popular" over and over and over, sit down at your piano and try your hardest to figure out the notes.

When you actually know how to play part of Dancing Through Life because you sat down and figured it out!

--When you mention the cast to your friends using your affectionate nicknames...cheno and didi. lol.
--Your mom can predict what the day's topic of discussion is: kristin chenoweth, idina menzel, or wicked. e.c. if she's always right!

When you sit down at the piano with CD player next to you and figure out how to play the right hand, including harmonies, for "For Good" for 5 hours.

And then all the other Wicked fans think you're just the coolest thing ever!

You're not really paying attention in theology, but then your teacher says that 'gospels' mean 'good news' and you jerk to attention and sing under your breath 'Good newwws! She's deaaaad!'

Haha...I got another one! While talking about something being ambiguous in a lab writeup you wonder if ambiguity is a word and then start singing "Wonderful".
Your dogs are fighting over a bone. You say "It's just a bone! Let it go!" And your dogs give you weird looks because your family is cracking up over this.

...you're reading the book and you come across the part that says baby Elphaba's first word is "horror", and you're wondering how difficult it will be to get your child to be born green and have her first word be horror, so she can be just like Elphie. DefyingGravity530: The bones thing? I've done it as well, in zillions of different contexts. Example: My sister: "Hey! That's my shirt!" Me: "It's just a shirt! Let it go!" Mom: "Put your shoes away." Me: "They're just shoes, you witch! LET IT GO!" ^Was reprimanded for calling my mother a witch, and when I tried to explain to her that I think being called a witch is a compliment...well...I was called something else that wasn't as nice .

...when you manage to work Wicked into basically every single conversation, even if it's completely unrelated ...when your mother has become anti-Wicked because she's sick of your obsessiveness ...when your cell phone voice message has a sound clip of Wicked and then says "You've reached _____'s cell, I'm not here right now but if you leave a message, I'll get back to you in just a clock tick!" ...when any reference whatsoever to Wicked, Wizard of Oz, etc. makes you spaz out

These are hilarious!
--When you go to skating and realize that three of your friends are perfect for Wicked characters -- the short blond girl is Galinda and the two taller, brunette sisters have the younger prettier than the other, Elphaba and Nessarose! (I did this today...) --When you get a green slushy for the sole reason that it's green. (Again, I did this today)

You try to figure out how to play any of the songs and when you figure out a tiny part, you play it over and over again just to keep proving to yourself that you figured it out. I do this on the flute as a warm-up sometimes! (Random notes help in figuring out songs.)

When you "hat trick" the lotto - win three times in three nights. And then you sit there before the show starts wondering if the cast is going to think you're a bunch of freaks...

DSO I can't believe it, lotto hattrick! That's incredible! So does Idina know your name NOW? You know you're obsessed with Wicked when... you carry around your keychain EVERYWHERE so you can practise drawing the Wicked logo and vow to one day draw the entire logo perfectly without looking off anything.
