Me and my mom were talking about what I was going to wear to see Wicked and I was talking about this post and she was like "People wear tank tops to Wicked?! The horrible!" So lol. My view is that as well. You want to look nice. yes, but some tanks are really nice! I'm still debating on whether I should make a Wicked shirt or something....it would be a black tee or tank with something totally wicked on it...can't spoil the surprise..lol...but I'm still iffy....do lots of people wear Wicked stuff, either official or their own creations?!

i saw a couple people who were REALLY into getting wickedafied for the show ( witches hats, someone had a pufy pink dress like kristins dtl dress,) and other people had defy gravity shirts and stuff like that. So at least for me thats not bad. I never get really dressed up for broadway showslike fancy dressed up, i just try and look... nice. another thing that you could do is wear something nice to the show and if your going to the stage door after wear your wicked shirt then?( thats what me and my friend did)

About eating during the show, I've realized that it can be sooo annoying! Last night there was this little girl sitting next to me (she was wearing a Popular shirt that came down to her knees lol) and during the second act she had a bag of something and whenever she went to eat it crinkled and crackled and made a LOT of noise. Luckily her father told her to stop lol.

i HATE it when people eat during the shows! its so disturbing, but since it is allowed theres nothing we can do about it. ill normally eat during intermission or as soon as the show is out.
as for dress, i always try to wear a skirt and a tee like from american eagle or something. not only so people wont talk about how i underdressed (like some of us are right now!) but when i go to the stage door, i want the actors to think that i have class and repect for them enough to dress up.
does that even make sense??

Yeah that makes sense to me Christa I feel the same way-- I'm coming all the way from Canada so I can say to Kristin Chenoweth 'you were amazing in Candide' and when she looks up at me to say thanks I don't want her to see someone who looks scruffy, I want her to see someone who has a teeny bit of class. I went with a skirt or at least nice capris and a show tshirt and my dressy sandals. Whether I saw the show that night or was just visiting the door.

When I went to see the show last March, food and drinks weren't allowed inside the theater. Well, just water was allowed. As far as everything else, the ushers made people finish whatever it was they were eating or drinking during intermission at the doors. As far as the dressing for a play, I don't think one should go to the extreme but, don't go in ripped up clothes. Or in anything offensive. Granted I live in NJ, whenever I go to a Broadway play, I spend the entire day in NYC going to the muesums or the zoos depending on the weather and I'll be walking/standing for a while. So, I go in comfortable clothes that I guess would be between formal and casual.
