Hey all,
I have a question to ask and if this is the wrong place for then sorry in advance. But I have my tickets to see to show for October in Row R of the orchestra. I just realized a few days ago that I may not be able to see anything high in the air thanks to the mezzanine which will be over top my head. For those who have been to the Gershewn Theater and seen the show, will I miss anything thanks to me seating (such as Elphie in Defying Gravity and Galinda in her bubble during the opening number)? Thanks a lot for whoever may have the answer!

No, all of the Broadway theaters are specifically designed so you will be able to see the entire stage, left to right, top to bottom no matter what seat you're in - unless of course the person in front of you is wearing a witch hat or a Cat in the Hat hat, which is most unlikely.

Technically true.. But some theatres make it easier to see the stage. Shubert Theatre is notorious for their mezz/rear mezz seating because it's high, not far so you're pretty much looking completely DOWN at the stage instead of at and down.
But Gershwin is one of the best theatres ever, so luckily, it's not a problem. It's mainly because it's stadium-style seating wtih raked rows instead of raised rows.

I sat in partial-view seats the last time I saw the show. I was in Row D, to the far right. It didn't affect my viewing much at all. The only problem was that, during "Defying Gravity", I could see the wires holding Idina up as she flew, and so that took away some of the illusion. Everything else was perfectly fine, though. And I could even see some of the actors getting ready in the wings and the stagehands fixing the sets! It was great. :-)

When I saw Wonderful Town, you could see stage hands, and I love when you can see actors in the wings, like rushing off to costume change, and I always get a giggle when saw they have to walk off holding hands or something, and the minute they're off stage, they immediately let go of each other.

Actually, they are not wires holding her up, it is a hydraulic system with a large harness around her waist. (Think cherrypicker) I once got a tour of the device.
