Unfortunetly, I know very little of the musical, but I know enough to like some of the character interaction, especially between F/E/G. So until I can learn more about the musical, this might be skipping from the book to the musical.
Summary: This is all about the musical. Almost a retelling but from a journal kept by Elphaba. I'm kinda stuck because I'm not sure of when Fieryo shows up in the musical and what Elphaba's first thoughts of him are. Someone please send me a copy of the bootleg libertto's that are out there so I can really write what I want!
Anyway, please enjoy.
Journal
Day 1
I think I’ve come to the realization that nothing is ever quite what it seems. After all, here in Oz we have seen many lives change so fast that one can’t help but wonder what they were like before the said change. And everyone changes. Everyone. Including me…
Although the rooming arrangements aren’t quite what I thought they’d be, I hope that Galinda (is that here name?) and I can become friends. After all, I’m sure she’ll like Nessa. Everyone does. My only hope is that Father won’t be too upset with me for not fighting to get Nessa in my room. But I’ve taken care of here all my life. I’d like to make other friends than the ones she makes. Perhaps Galinda (I’m almost certain that’s her name) will be my friend and in turn will help me make more friends.
Day 2
What was I thinking? That I would even be liked here at all. What a joke. The only thing that anyone would like about me is that if they’re really nice, I might help then with their homework, just as long as I don’t tell anyone I was in their company.
My own roommate is the ringleader of everything. It’s so easy for her to find my shortcomings here in our room, twist then just a bit, then go back and report them in such a way that makes people think I’m some kind of a monster. Is that really how they look at me?
Day 10
Doctor Dillamond is probably the most underrated teacher here at Shiz. But why would he think the Wizard is hurting the Animals? They are regular citizens of Oz just like I am. Surely he’s just a bit nervous. All the same, he has a brilliant mind and I can’t wait to start working with him.
