This Is How We Do It--How to post images

Ok ya'll....this is perhaps THE most asked question on this board. "How do I post my banner?" "How do I post the icons I made?" "How do I post this great pic of the show I just found?"

Answers:

1) The images need to be hosted on the web. Sites like geocities don't allow hotlinking--hosting an image there and linking it to boards like this--so try somewhere like photobucket.com.

Ok, got your image all nice and hosted? Let's move on to...

2) To post an image in a message here on the boards, or in your sig space, your have to make sure you have the proper html tags. Tags looks like this (minus the spaces): [ img ] [ /img ]

Got it? Ok, now time for...

3) Between the tags, put the URL (web address) of the image, so it looks like this (minus the spacing): [ img ] www.lookitmycoolwickedpic.com [ /img ]

You have to do this for each individual picture. And remember, when putting a banner in your signature, keep it horizontal, not vertical, so that all banners are uniform.

We also ask that instead of posting "test" posts in any threads to see if it worked, just go and check a thread you've already posted in. If you did it right, you should see your shiny new banner in your old posts.
