Well, tonight I was killing time with my copy of Photoshop and decided to redo the header picture of my livejournal with a Wicked picture/collage. www.livejournal.com/users/silverdimeThere's a slightly hidden bit of Elphaba/Glinda in there. I'm thinking of making a few icons from the manip I made for that particular part.

Looks great! Hey were you at a Bowie concert recently? He just played in my town a couple weeks ago, but it was sold out so I didn't go

That's gorgeous! I wish I could make stuff like that, but alas nothing here but Paint.

For those that are interested in the technical details: The kiss was made with the Elphaba/Fiyero picture and a Glinda picture that had the right head tilt. I thinned Fiyero's hand (oh, and cut him out, but I think everyone's noticed that) to more feminine dimensions, used the skew/transform/perspective features to tilt Elphaba's head the right way, and then diligently erased her nose from where it overlapped Glinda's. And then I decided to make that mini-picture a more subtle part and so all my work was effectively useless. Just goes to show: Photoshop is a fickle, fickle mistress. ;D I turned the picture into a layer and used the overlay blend to make it sink in like that, then tweaked the color and opacity until it just showed like it does in the current version. Then I erased all of the clock lines that criss-crossed it and spoilt the view. That was an awfully technical explanation, I know, but I wasn't sure how much detail you wanted. Photoshop is amazing. When I get some free time this weekend I'm going to finish the icon and turn my 500x600 version of the picture into a wallpaper. I'll post both here since there seems to be some interest. And, yes, I did go to the 4/30 Bowie concert here in Boston, the Land Without Spring (but lots and lots of rain, currently). It was fabulous. If you get the chance to go at all before his tour ends, you should.
