People are so stupid. Idina needs to become world known! In my dance class at school the teacher made an announcement one day that somebody left a CD, says name Idina, ::freaks out and gets ready to raise hand even though it's not her CD::, but then she says some weird last name that didn't even resemble Menzel. Aw shucks. I totally would've taken it too!

Ahh! That's excellent! They're selling her CD at Wicked, right? I can't wait to get it! Idina should be on the radio or something so all the stupid non-theatre people can hear her amazing talent!

::throws water on stupid people who don't know who idina is:: I hope they melt. Seriously, I'm in chorus the other day and I'm talking about Wicked with my friend, and this one girl starts eavesdropping and she's like "who's idina menzel?" and I was about ready to strangle her. Stupid non theatre people. They've got their heads full of straw!

Well some people don't have enough money for frequent Broadway visits, so you can't blame them just because they've never heard of ONE person out of billions. Yes, she's amazing, but don't freak out about people that haven't heard of her.
Back on Topic: One of my friends is going into the city today, so I asked her to stop at Colony and get me 'Here' and I'll pay her back. If she does...I'll be forever grateful. If she doesn't...I'll just ask her to get it next week when she does in to see Wicked again. And if that fails I have to wait until March 13th, which will be incredibly depressing.
I got one of the songs from the cd and am having a completely messed-up mental block and can't remember is. (ST...little help?) and it's so fantastic. I love the sound, the words, HER VOICE! -gyps

Hey, I didn't say that in a bad sort of way...well, maybe I did. But my friends, most of which who have seen Wicked, when they ask me who Idina is, that drives me nuts!

I also replaced a wicked sig quote, but not with Idina. Yay for Indigo Girls! But omg, Idina was at Lillith Fair in 98, and the Indigo Girls go there EVERY YEAR! So this year, my parents (one or both) agreed to drag me and a friend or two along to PA to see this year's show. And if there's any slim chance (which I highly doubt will happen) Idina sings there this year...I'll *be* there. haha. But I like Indigo Girls and Michelle Malone and all those other people, so if Idina isn't there it's not the end of the world. It would suck, mind you, but the world won't end.
AND...in a few short hours, 'Here' is mine!!! -gyps

I doubt she'll do Lilith again. One, she's in Wicked right now, and will be over the summer as well, and, two, last time she did LF her album was on a major label, not just Zel Records (which, by the way, is just the cutest name ever for her label hehe).

I didn't think Lillith was even going on anymore. I thought Sarah McLachlan stopped in years ago. If there is an all chick concert festival somewhere in NY state though, and Idina was gonna be there, someone should let us know! I hafta say thought, I listened to Aly's copy of "Here" last night....LOVED IT Can't wait to get my own

Yes, in fact, I am. It's the first day of my class at JRP, and to celebrate I plan to spend the whole day there. Which means...taking time out of my not-at-all busy shedule to visit out-of-town and/or in-nyc friends... But back on the subject of 'Here,' I tried teaching myself 'If I Told You' on guitar. But...since I have never taken guitar lessons and Ichabod (my instrument of the hour) has never exactly liked me...things didn't go according to plan. So I put on a 'How to Play Guitar' dvd and, for the first time in months, tried to learn...how to play guitar. I learned the chords G and C! I'm on my way to learning A song...since there's a school coffeehouse in April and I want to perform something...not acapella. So there I'll be, for 2 months, working my butt off all to embarass Idina. -gyps
