my best friend saw Sean McCourt as the wizard last weds. and she fell in love with him. she said he was amazing. I personally would love to see him as the wizard but alas i'm going to israel for 5 1/2 weeks. what am i going to do without my wicked stuff. back on topic Sean is great as the wizard so anyone who's going to see him don't worry and he is also super nice to his fans

me and ashley saw sean mccourt as the wizard last night and he was GREAT!!!! i loved him....and hes really nice too ;D

i saw him as the wizard on the June 16th show..and although when i think of wizard i think of Joel Grey... but Sean did am ok job.... i think he was more comical.. he reminded me of jim carrey ( ok and i know i spelt his name wrong llam) and he was very nice at the stage door too  .. but i dnt think is right for the role really... joel is much better suited im going again to see teh show on the 2nd.. with my whole family and my mom reallllly wants to see Joel.. i hope hes better by then.. but if he isnt i know that shell be upset.. i will too.. l |

I'm going to be honest and say that I didn't like Sean at all as the Wizard. He's talented, but the role is totally wrong from him. Joel is perfect. Sean is nice though. I saw him at the stage door.

Oh my god I LOVE Sean!!! But it might be because I dont love Joel..I did miss the fact that Joel is so tiny and old..hehe..but I LOVED Seans voice and the little things he added to the Wizard...and he is one of the nicest men EVER!

Sean was AMAZING! I finally saw him as the Wizard and he just blew all my memories of Joel away. Each time I had seen the show before, it was always Joel, and yesterday (the 27th) was ALL understudies, replacements and standbys, except for Norbert. It was so great, I was amazed that I only paid $25 for such a fabulous show. I would have paid SO MUCH MORE if I knew what I was going to be seeing.
But Sean remembered me, yet again, and I told him how excited I was to see him. Then he was a little surprised to see me backstage, and I was just bouncing off the walls, telling him how great he was. He really was. I also really liked how when he's holding the two bottles, just before Glinda tells him to leave, he lies down and curls up in a fetal position, it was so cute.

Yeah, he seems like a very nice person... one time, I couldn't go with my friend to see Wicked, so I was on the phone with her the entire time that she was at the stage door (Manuel Herrera said hi to me on the phone... *dies* ;D) and she asked Sean for a picture and he's like "Absolutely!". So he seems like a very friendly person to the fans.
