Hm...favorite moments. Lots, really.
I really love "For Good". It's just so touching and I cry everytime I listen to it. So when I saw it, I was sobbing.
"I'm Not That Girl" is really great. Ah, the joys of love.
"Popular" is just hysterical! I love the whole thing! Especially the hair flip!
The cat fight, of course! Especially after Glinda slaps Elphie. The whole crowd just goes: "Ooooh. No she did NOT just do that!" And then Elphie returns the slap and they go: "WOO! Go Elphie!" LOL. I love it.
"Wonderful" is a great number for Joel. I love the dance at the end.
There's too many moments!

When I saw the show on New years Eve, someone actually said loudly "Oh no she didn't!" I was sitting too far to see if Idina laughed, but I know I cracked up.

Gosh, there are so many: -I love the very beginning, when Glinda comes in on the Bubble, because I am so excited about the show. -I love all of Defying Gravity, especially the parts where Elphaba is trembling, because she doesn't want to be brave, but she knows she has to be. -I love the part in WITF when the ensemble comes out and dances behind Kristin, while Idina marches to the other side of the stage. -Of course I love the part when Elphaba and Fiyero release the lion cub ("He must've scratched you" "Yeah, or maybe he scratched me or something" -The part on No One Mourns the Wicked, when Kristin sings over the ensemble, and you can hear how absolutely amazing her voice is. -The Wicked Witch of the East in two parts. The first is when Nessa/Michelle is singing and Elphaba/Idina is chanting and their voices blend together in such a cool harmony. Also the part where Michelle is singing the part that begings "Save him, please just save him..." You can really hear her talent in that part, and I really wish that song were on the CD. -The end of Defying Gravity because it never fails to take my breath away -All of "For Good" cause it makes me cry. -The end (absolutely awesome ;D)

Me too. I'm still bitter it's not on the recording. I love Michelle and she doesn't get to sing much in the show to begin with; it makes me sad that her big song was left off the CD.

Okay...favorite moments...here's my list. Now I haven't seen the show, so this is judging off of the recording. llam, try not to laugh at me. You'll find it's quite difficult.
-When Kristin hits the high notes in "No One Mourns the Wicked" and "Thank Goodness." -Any time Idina's belting, really. -The "Boo!" "Ahh!" at the end of "What is this Feeling" -When Norbert says "swankified" in " Dancing Through Life" -Michelle's little giggle after the "Oh, Elphaba! Isn't it wonderful?" line. -Cheno's rhymes ( "It's really uh, sharp! Don't you think?" ) -During DTL, when Boq says to Nessa, "It's because you are so beautiful!" and she's like "Oh Boq! I think you're wonderful." Does anybody else find this heartbreaking? It absolutely makes me want to BAWL. Oh, and when the ensemble comes in at the end (" Dancing through life, down at the Ozdust! If only because dust is what we come to!" ) and how you can hear Chris' vioce singing the "to!" above everybody else's. llam. -The powerful, beautiful, wonderful ending of " Defying Gravity" -How Fiyero actually calls other people "empty-headed" in "Thank Goodness." -The way Joel Grey says "ballooooon" -"No Good Deed." Period. -I really love "For Good"... especially the pretty harmonies at the end. -At the end of the Finale, when Kristin hits the high note (again) and Idina belts it.

If only because dust is what we come to!" ) and how you can hear Chris' vioce singing the "to!" above everybody else's. llam. Yeah that's because when he finishes "daaaaaaaaaance" he joins in with them and he's just a half-beat off. But then his voice blends in for "and the strange thing..."

When I saw the show on New years Eve, someone actually said loudly "Oh no she didn't!" I was sitting too far to see if Idina laughed, but I know I cracked up. Sa That's too funny. I know that after Elphie slapped Glinda a woman in front of me said: "Oh, now was that necessary?" My friend and I were laughing so hard. She was probably the only person in the audience that said that. Or at least thought it. Oh another moment I love (*Spoiler*): When the Wizard finds out Elphie's his daughter. Everyone gasps in shock. My friend's reaction was hysterical: "She's his-oh my-no! Really? Holy criznat! That's awesome!" I also love how the Wizard has the flashback. That's cool how they did that with the music.

I love the whole scene right after Wonderful and right before As Long as Your Mine. It's so perfect Sa Yes, I forgot a few parts. I love that scene; its hilarious but also soooo sad. I also really love the part after Kristin's reprise of I'm Not That Girl when she calls out "Fiyero!!!" and then, at the same time, No Good Deed starts, and Idina comes out shouting "Fiyero"....That was so awesome. So very well done. And I probably should've quoted this, because I remember someone else saying it, but I love the part where Morrible says "this WICKED witch." Absolutely chilling -- especially when you are seated right underneath her. OK, so basically, pair this with my earlier list of fave moments and I love the whole show. But that's what this board is about, isn't it?

Ohhhhh, I love the scene right after "As Long As Your Mine" when Elphaba sees the house flying through the sky and through the sound of the wind blowing you can hear Nessa screaming. I didn't notice it the first time I saw the show but now that I listen for it I get chills everytime. 'Nother favorite moment is when Galinda comes riding in on her luggage and Elphaba's first entrance down center stage. Others: the cat fight (but who doesn't include that in favorite moments???), "What Is This Feeling" when Elphie is pushing through the ensemble, "No Good Deed", the scene around "For Good" all the way to the end of the show, "Popular", "Wicked Witch of the East", "Defying Gravity" and pretty much everything else that was already mentioned. Oh, and in "The Wizard and I" when Elphaba says, "I'd be so happy I could melt."

I love the way the actresses have gotten so comfortable in their performances that they've added little things. Like in WITF, when they say "every little thing however small" and Ephaba motions to Galinda cause she's short and Galinda does the leg slap, "I'm laughing so hard" face. It's little things like that that truly bring out the characters feelings about one another, so when DTL happens, its even more powerful.

I absolutely the short gestures Idina makes about Kristin. Especially during "What is This Feeling" in the line "every little trait however small". It gets such a laugh, and I feel fine laughing about it too since I'm short, although I am pretty tall next to Kristin!
