Ooo I know I just posted but I was just thinking... American Idol with real singers who have been singing for years! Imagine what Simon would say! The reason I was thinkin' this was because Donna Summer was off a bit on some notes and I was wondering if Simon had to bite his lip to keep from making a comment! llam!

I don't think Simon would bite his lip for anyone. I think he'd come out and yell at Donna Summer if she was a contestant

I can picture it now-- American Idol All Stars! Whoever wins can keep their recording contract but if you are the lowest voted-star, they take away the record deal you've already got!!
Oh, and hey, the mod in me seems to be screaming 'no double posts you evil evil girl, Jaim!!' llam next time go back and modify your first one, sista. If I didn't love ya I would be sending you a private message but I thought I'd bring it up now as a friendly reminder!!

Maybe we should take this idea to Fox they do so love to humilate people! This should be right up their alley!
I promise, not more double posts! (See I'm learning!)

Hmmm. Sounding good to me. And as for the length of last night's episode... OH yeah. Though, this whole season they've had a tendency to drag things out way beyond where they should be. I was bored enough to flip between AI and Angel on the WB... and really follow the Angel storyline without missing out on the AI results!

*grimaces* Jasmine tonight was just... painful in spots. I used to really love her, but she's starting to go the way of John Stevens and not showing much range. No matter what the style, she just seems to sing the same way..
And on a larger rant, those of you watching "Idol", what do you think of this season overall? I was shaking my head while I watched tonight remembering all the hype about this group having raised the bar above the first two seasons, but I honestly don't think that's the case. There hasn't been a SINGLE singer that has completely blown me away. No powerhouse belter like Clay or Kelly... no big personality with the voice to back it up like Ruben... My dad showed me an article in USA Today which talked about how hard it's going to be to sell tickets for this Idols tour. Though some will make it worthwhile, there are going to be several cringe-worthy acts in there.
If Fantasia goes tomorrow night, that'll be the nail in the coffin for this whole season. Popularity contest- not talent contest.

I never followed an Idol season before this one, so I can't really say how it compares with the others. But I have to say how kewl was it to see Canadian Idol RYAN MALCOLM in the audience tonight?!? Too bad they didn't let him perform. But it was neat to see him anyways. Fantasia was good tonight-- I especially SLC when Simon's comment to her at the end was 'what does it say on the sign behind you?' and she's like "...American Idol?" and he just smiled, because it's soooooo true! And I loved his 'I'm going to give you the sympathy vote' gimmick ;D But I do think Diana stole the show tonight. She was great. Jasmine-- kinda painful.

Diana's last number was absolutely stellar. It was pretty clear who was the weakest performer. Though I think she's cute and she has a pleasant singing voice, it should be Jasmine's night to go.

wOOt bye bye Jasmine. You had a great run. So let's see... methinks Diana is going to take it all. Cuz Fantasia is so far above the competition it doesn't really matter!!

I'm not super-enthusiastic about who is left, no... of course, I haven't been super-enthusiastic about this entire season. Don't get me wrong, I've been paying as much attention as I ever have... but there just didn't seem to be one singer that had IT this season. There were some exciting singers to be certain, but no one has really made me sit back and go, "WOW!" That said... I'm kinda rooting for Diana. She came close to "WOW" with her last performance on Tuesday night. I just don't know if she can give that kind of performance consistently.

i totally agree with wicKayed. no one seemed to strike me as absolutely fabulous. it was definitely jasmine's time to go, and now that she's gone...i hope diana wins the competition. something about fantasia bothers me for some reason..although i admit she has a wonderful voice.

Jasmine had to go. I also agree that no one really stuck out. I prefer Fantasia to Diana, but I think that LaToya should have made it to the top 2. Sure, Diana can belt, but I only think she will win b/c they want the "underdog" to win and that's not fair to other people who may be better.
