Just got back from the Harry Potter preview. The movie was slightly disappointing, maybe because I'm such a huge fan of the books. But I felt that they changed the plot around too much. Let me just say this: DAN RADCLIFFE IS SO HOT! Wow. I never thought I'd say Harry Potter was hot but seriously!
I won't give away anything, but in the movie they use the word WICKED a lot as an adjective (ie: this is wicked cool) and my friend Rebecca and I were spazzing.

llam, I love when people say "wicked" as an adjective! I had heard that this movie wasn't as by-the-book as the others. Tell us, is it really that far away from the book?

Wow!! Lucky duck! i would think that it would be different. By the look of the trailers and clips, i was expecting it to be a little strange. for example, the toad choir was very confusing to me when i saw the trailer. i didn't know what was going on! llam

Hehe, Amy, I didn't realize that was yours when you showed it to me! *bswb* I should have realized it when I saw it saved on your computer. *bswb again* I love it, though.

Ahhhh that icon is AMAZING!!! Thank you FaeatShiz!!! <-- this is me, staring at the DAN RADCLIFFE icon! Wow, I'm a dork. Well I personally liked this movie the best out of all three... there's a new director and it's much more creepy and thrilling. I got chills way more than once. The only thing I didn't like was, yes, they changed around the plot to make it more dramatic and "Hollywood" if you get what I'm saying. And there is A LOT of hinting at a relationship between two of our favorite characters... if you catch my drift... llam!

My sister and I are going to the earliest showing of HP at the theater nearest us. To get in the mood, we're watching the second movie tonight. yay! Galindaba089, I'm so glad you like the icon! Btw, the font I used is called "Harry P" and it's the Harry Potter font, which I downloaded from dafont.com.

I'm going to see it tonight, too. My friend and I are going to fight the hordes of little children and try to maintain some dignity. ;D

im so happy that so many of you enjoyed it! now i like HAVe to see it llam...is the plot really condensed so that alot of parts are left out?? because the book is so long i figured that that was bound to happen..and btw...daniel radcliffe did get noticabley hotter since the last time i saw him! llam

It's not that they left out parts but they changed around the order of events... I was whispering to my friend the whole time, "That's not how it happened in the book!"

Yeah, they rearranged some stuff, but it doesn't take away from the story. Lots of little details were taken out and they had to rearrange the plot a little to make it make sense. I am still wondering why they never mentioned how Lupin knew about the map being a map (I know why of course, but I was thinking about people who haven't read the book, if there are any who see the movie) Also with the choir thing, in the book they had acrobats or some other kind of entertainment at the beginning of term and I guess the choir made more sense since it works in the ads.

i was wondering about Lupin and the map as well. because people who don't know that he and james and sirius and peter created the map if they haven't read the book. but i still really loved the movie. i think alfonso did a fabulous job.
