Ok, if there was an off-off topic board, this would be on it, because I know it has literally nothing to do with Broadway or anything. But I am so excited for the new one! I'm not a huge Star Wars geek, but when I was younger I liked the movies. That was when I was like 8, and now I've found a new intrest in them, because of one thing. In two words: Hayden Christensen. Lol, anyways, I was watching TV one day and the commercial for Episode III came on and I was like "Omg, how many of these movies can they make?" and then I saw Hayden and (oh, btw, I was with my friend while watching this) I immediatly said, "We have to see this movie!" to my friend. Yes, this does sound shallow, and yes I (at the time) only said this because of his hotness. But then I thought that I should get 'caught up' on the Star Wars movies since I hadn't seen the originals in so long. And i did, and let me just say that now Hayden is only part of the reason I cannot wait for this movie. They're just so good, and dramatic and I love the little hints of romance and cliffhangers and such. Anyways, just started this to see other peoples opinions on the movies

Saw the original trilogy when I was in fourth grade and have loved the fandom ever since. The two newer ones (Episodes I and II) have been kinda disappointing, but even if Hayden Christensen isn't the best actor, he's effing pretty to look at. The new one's getting good critical buzz, though, so my hopes are going up...I'm not quite a junkie or anything, but I know some of the ships and aliens by sight Also, my friend and I are dubbing the "I am your father" scene from the Empire Strikes Back into French for a school project! 'Tis fun..."Luc, je suis vtore pere." "Mais non, non! C'est impossible!"

II he was right out of high school! And the screenplay was a far cry from outstanding)I've heard he is awesome in the new one. I've actually only heard good things about the newest, and I can't wait! I am with you in that I am not a fanatic (I actually am a bit scared of people who have been waiting there for 7 weeks...I mean, a bit obsessive, don't you think?) but I find a lot of joy in watching the movies, and love the characters (Han Solo being a favorite...hehe) and the whole story and drama behind it.

STAR WARS!!!! Let me say this now... I love Star Wars. I wasn't born yet to see the first trilogy, but I must admit to seeing them countless times as a girl in elementry school. I loved those movies, and still do. When the new ones came out, I was ESTATIC. I coud not wait to see them, and I even had a Queen Amidala shirt (I also confess to quoting a few lines a lot). Then the second one came out, and i was enthralled by the romance of Padme and Anikin. Now, I kow they aren't the greatest movies (the prequels, I mean), but I lov ehtem because they came out in my time. I got to experience the wonder of a Star Wars realese. I even tried to write a fan fic about them at the time, and it is absolute crud (I wish it hadn't gone away with my old computer!), but it was sure fun! Can't wait for this one! DE

Aren't they amazing? I totally agree, especially about the Padme/Anakin romance. I loved it! And I cannot WAIT for the new movie because of it, and getting to see the change to Darth Vader, because even though the prequels haven't been great, you really begin to like Anakin, and I'm really upset he is going to go evil. It is just surreal, if you know what I mean. Oh, Han Solo...I love him! My favorite character in the whole series! I wish we

Han's cool, though I wouldn't call him my favorite. I rather like Leia as my favorite character, but I thik Padme may just be better. What's your favorite original series movie? Mine, I'd have to say, would be Return of the Jedi. I don't like Empire Strikes Back for some reason, but whatever. DE

I'm rather fond of Empire, if only because it ends so depressingly. Believe me, I adore happily-ever-afters, but it's a nice variation. Plus, there are some great developments between Han and Leia that're fun to watch, not to mention Luke's imperfections that begin to show through. Also, there's the whole "No, I am your father" bit that you just have to love, you know?

They're like giant teddy bears, and so cute...lol). I usually hate the middle of a trilogy (like with Lord of the Rings, the second one bored me. Though I'm not a huge Lotr fan anyways, so that could be why) but this one just has so much going on. Plus the classic line of "I love you" and in response "I know". And, obviously "No, I am your father". I, as well, do love happily ever afters, and this one just appealed to me anyways. Plus Luke isn't almighty and powerful yet, which I like because I hate characters that don't have flaws.

Omg, really random, but I am becoming an autograph collecter junkie (though I've only gotten B'way stars autographs mostly, so far) and I'm trying to find a good place to get a autograph from Hayden, but i can't find any place accurate!! Its so frustrating..lol, sorry random

I love Star Wars as well! My favorite had to be Episode VI, 'cause the newer ones were a little disapointing, but I'm a fan. A fairly big fan, actually, though that's died down a little. But who's not excited about Episode III? I read the book of the trilogy after I saw the movies, and it gave away what happens in the new movie to Anakin & co. Interestingly, I have know idea why George Lucas put the spoiler but in there, but whenever someone says they're excited about the movie, I tell them without thinking and ruin it for everyone. Mind you, the spoiler bit doesn't give away the movie, only a fairly important plot point. The rest I, along with many other fans, infer. But I just can't wait for it to come out!

Omg, I cannot tell you how close I am to asking you what it is...I am such a spoiler junkie!!! But I won't because I know I'm going to tell my friends about it then...lol, plus I always end up ruining it for myself when I see it, and the movie isn't as intresting. Or that happened with Wicked, anyways...bad idea on my part. One time I can think of where I didn't spoil it for myself was the musical of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, and I was soooo happy I didn't, because it wouldn't have been nearly as good/funny if I had. ACTUALLY now that I think about it, I may just knw what the spoiler is...that is if it involves a dream of Anakin's (I won't put it here)....(ok, yes, I admit, I couldn't resist and did find a few spoilers, but I didn't think they were anything major)

Nah, different spoiler, but everyone probably already knows it, so I'm not special. *sigh*
