yea there was nothing in my local paper about it the next day, but on sat. they had a thing on it and they thought either tonya of donna were gonna win, so i dont really mind lol they dont know what theyre talking about

did anyone notice that in defying gravity in the tony's, the harmony for 'i hope you're happy in the end'...sounds sooo good...kristin stays on idina's part then goes up..it sounds so amazing! just thought i'd point that out llam

also..i dont know if this has been discussed before but did anyone else notice that Kristin totally forgot to sing her line in the first "Bring Me Down" when she is supposed to say "I hope you're happy!" I thought it was soo soo cute cuz i think she was too proud of Idina so she was like out of it and forgot to sing her line! aww! lol

Yeah, the song sounded slightly incomplete without the "I hope your happy" line, but I highly doubt Cheno forgot, just that it needed to be in a specific time limit. The whole song sounded very rushed though, y'know? Poor Idina was practically eating the air trying to sing in tempo with the orchestra. I guess they just wanted it to be short or something.

I believe each show was given four minutes to perform on the telecast. Since "Defying Gravity" is a nearly six minute song, they had to do a lot of nipping and tucking... hense the second verse ("I'm through accepting limits") was hacked out entirely. I found it interesting that they sped up the beginning too... esp. since it started out SLOWER than normal and then rocketed through "the rules of someone else's game / too late for second-guessing", etc..
