Ever had anything funny happen onstage when you were at the show??
Leave them here, and when there are enough, I'll start a bloopers page on the site!

When one of Elphaba's monkeys delivers her a small piece of paper with some news about Fiyero (While Glinda is there), Elphaba goes to open it and read it. Instead, she accidently rips the paper in half, ambles across the stage to retrieve the runaway piece, holds them together and then reads it. Heehee.
I'm not sure if this is a blooper, but during As Long As Your Mine, when Taye Diggs was Fiyero, he came in late his first time because he and Idina were smooching. -gyps

I heard that Kristin Chenoweth has been knocked unconscious with a light and used to catch her dress on the vines on stage all the time when they first started (I got this from the article about the stage up on the official site under 'press' I think. Didn't the two flying monkeys crash together once, too?

Poor Kristin! It's like a 4'11" two year old running into a coffee table. You just wanna give them a hug and a kiss on the cheek. LOL

I heard about the light fixture thing. That happened in San Francisco, to my knowledge, and she did some of the shows wearing a brace. That's really funny, about the monkeys crashing together. I'd love to see that, so funny.
And I know it sounds terrible, but in some kind of masachistic little way, I want to see Wicked one day and have the thing that makes Elphie fly break down or something strange like that. I don't know...I mean it would be bad, but in a way...I would have to laugh at the same time as feel bad.
Aren't I horrible. -gyps
Edit: I forgot a blooper I read about. It was in an interview with Norbert Leo Butz, and he said something about how one time (I think in SF, too), he swung in on the rope ("Let the green girl go.") and then the audience laughs, even after the line hype had died down. He looks and sees the rope had swung around Kristin's head/neck/upper body and was pulling her off stage. If I remember correctly, Norbert said it was like watching Barbie get hung.

Yeah...I heard all that too and how they had to change the choreography for "Popular" ....that's how the line " Don't hurt your neck" was added in reference to the flipping of her hair.

I'd never heard what actually happened, just that she'd been wearing the brace! Poor Kristin -- she hasn't had the best luck with this show! Getting knocked out by lights, dragged along stage, hitting herself in the head with her wand...

lol Funny how they change the show lines to incorporate bloopers ;D I like the wand story. Keep 'em coming, they're entertaining. Most of the time, anyways. Except when it embarrasses the actor so bad they won't come back! In 1983 my alltime fav actress Cynthia Dale fell into the orchestra pit while doing The Mikado at Stratford, and she didn't come back until fifteen years later. Would be hilarious to see but SO embarrassing!!! Now her cast blurbs in the Stratford programs say 'she's very happy to be working on the Festival theatre stage this year where there is no orchestra pit to fall into-again.'

She hit herself in the head with her wand I'm surprised she hasn't thrown her back out doing that spastic jumpy thing in "Popular" LOL when I saw "Wicked" last Wednesday, NLB swung in but I don't think he judged it correctly, because he kinda just hung there for a second or two longer than seemed right and it just made his "let the green girl go" seem stupid dorkus funny, not heroic leading man funny.
