Gah! Poor Kristin! I heard someone say it was a severe stomach ailment that was causing her pain and she simply couldn't make it through the whole show.

So last night, I went to see the 7:30 performance. I knew that Joel would be out on vacation, and turns out Kristin was still sick so she was gone. Norbert was out too...not sure why....
Here is where is gets interesting! I was so excited that Idina was there; she's the best and the audience was psyched to be there. I was sitting a few seats away from Taye, which was cool too. In any case, she sounded perfect and was incredible. Then came time for Defying Gravity. It was great---until the part where she says the "and nobody in all of oz" part. All of a sudden, she started choking and coughing and gasping, and couldn't sing the end at all. It was terrifying....she just stood suspended in the air barely making any noise. curtain went down and the audience went nuts regardless.
Well, after intermission, the announcement came on. "Due to severe illness, Idina will not be performing Act Two.
