I dont think I would ever be able to improv like she did! Part of me wants to see a 'Popular' blooper! I want to see Cheno and Dee work it out!

Everytime I go, there is not one funny blooper! Grrr. I understand that they are wonderful, extremely talented actors/actresses... but can't they just slack off... one night... for me? ;D Hehehe.
LOL... this thread has reached 10 pages... *waits for little lock icon to appear on side of screen*

Well, I'll just sliiiide this in before we're locked... It seems to me that things seem to work best and the cast is on their best behavior on the weekends when the largest number of tourists are in attendance. My first two times at Wicked were weekends and both performances were smooth as can be. However, if you pick a performance earlier in the week on like a Tuesday or Wednesday the cast is a) more energetic because they've recently had their day off and b) feeling a bit more playful. My third time at Wicked was a bed Popular blooper and it was a Wednesday night. Hope that helps a little!

I've seen Wicked on every day of the week EXCEPT weekends... Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and there have been NO bloopers! I'm praying that next time I go there will be at least a technical malfunction so I can hear Cheno ad lib! Hehe. A strange thing to hope for, that the crew will mess up, but I've heard that it's hilarious!

It was back in December... maybe it was different then? Monday, December 22. It was also the day Taye first started as Fiyero, so maybe that's why.

It was a holiday week. Christmas week - the schedule was different for that week.

Okay, this isn't really a blooper, but it sort of is...either way, it is a weird Wicked experience. I was up there this weekend seeing the show. I saw it Saturday night (last night). My mom and I noticed that Kristin seemed to be kind of rushing her lines. Then, in I'm not that Girl, during the part where she is supposed to walk across the bridge with Norbert, she didn't come...it was just Norbert by himself. So we started thinking that something was wrong. Then, during A Sentimental Man, she left the scene early, and, in Defying Gravity, at the last part where Elphaba has risen, where she is supposed to sing "I hope you're hhhaappppyy....." and then the ensemble sings "Look at her she's wicked!" but she wasn't there for that part either. So after intermission, the announcer man comes on and says due to illness, she would be replaced by Laura during the second act (Laura did great, I must say, and I would die if I had to follow Kristin ) The blooper part(s) of the evening came from the fact that halfway through the show, Glinda became a different person. Right after Thank Goodness, when Glinda and Elphie first see each other again, Laura came out onstage and Idina goes "Oh my gosh, you've gotten so tall!" The crowd laughed and clapped forever...it was hilarious. And Laura responds "Yeah, its that wonderful wizard of oz...I think my magic's gotten better too." It was so funny!!! Then, at curtain call, when Laura and Idina walked out, Laura was holding a giant poster picture of Kristin labeled Kristin C. and held it and made it take bows and stuff. Idina pushed her in front to take her final bow, and she held the poster with her and bowed with it. It was so great. So that was my fun Wicked experience...and my last time to see Kristin (and probably Idina). I hope Kristin is okay!!! If anyone saw the show today, let me know if she was there/how she's doing. Aww...

Awww...I know! It was so sad, because she did sooooo well. Poor Kristin.... They covered quite well for her missing some of the scenes. During the part of A Sentimental Man where the Wizard goes "The two of you it's time I raised you high..." where Glinda and Elphaba are supposed to be spotlighted, Kristin had left the stage, so they spotlighted Morrible very quickly, which managed to make sense. And poor Norbert...no offense to him, but it looked pretty silly in I'm Not That Girl for him just to be walking by himself on a bridge looking at the rain. But, the show must go on, and it did. I just hope Kristin is feeling better.

That's so sweet, with the poster, but that makes it seem like Kristin died or something. But it's still really sweet. I like the line about her height. -gyps

Since I couldn't go this weekend, I was on the phone with my friend (who was there) before the show, during intermission, and the entire time at the stage door llam. And she told me about Kristin getting sick and Idina's ad lib. I was like, Aww! Poor Cheno. If I were Laura, I'd be terrified to see the audience's reaction when Kristin didn't come on stage! But I'm sure she did a great job. I would've laughed hysterically at the "You've gotten taller" line! Arrghh at my parents for not letting me go.
So... I guess Idina's on vacation now. Anyone going to see Eden as Elphaba?

me!! on june 26...yes im missing both kristin AND idina and im beyond disappointed..but im going back again in july so im not THAT upset..and I've seen them..i guess it will be interesting to see new people play the parts..i am excited though to see Eden because I keep hearing fantastic things about her! Its going to be hard to watch people other than Kristin and Idina..but I'm sure I'll still enjoy it because its STILL Wicked! It feels so weird that Idina is going to be on a vacation until July 2..i dont know why but July 2 seems SO far away...and although its not like im going to be at the show for the next few weeks, it just feels weird that Idinas not at the Gershwin..wow I'm going to have some serious feelings of depression when Cheno and Norbert leave if this is how I feel about Idina leaving just for a few weeks sry i just realized im OT and that this is for bloopers heh i think LBB and Idinas bloopers the other night must have been hysterical!
