By Valentine's day at the latest, a friend of mine is sending me a bootleg. So nice of her, and she says it's really good except it blacks out during Glinda and Elphie dancing - which just so happens to be one of my favorite parts. So there's a little dissapointment, but ah well. It'll hold me over for now. I can just wave my arms around, make my sister do the same and improv the hell out of it. -gyps

Sounds like a plan to me! I'm ordering 2! That way I can compare stuff! And in case something is bad on one!

Excellent! Mine have yet to come in...llam defyinggravity530...but I think it'd be really hilarious if there were bloopers on one of them! Then I could laugh and say, "Hey, that's not supposed to happen!"
As for the movie issue, I think it'd be weird if they did it from the musical. Sure, I absolutely love it, but if Kristin and Idina weren't in it, I'd cry! The book would be a more plausible idea, but I think I'd enjoy the musical spoof better!

I imagine a book-based movie being very dark, with lots hidden beneath the surface. I'd love it. I got bored so I'd plan out little trailers and stuff in my head, thinking about who would play who and everything. I haven't really come up with anythign more then how great Carrie-Anne Moss would be as Elphaba. That would just be so perfect.
And I *will* consider this movie as a royal flop if they don't include the scene where Elphaba first tries to fly on the enchanted broom. Haha...a green woman talking to a broom. I'd love to get that in a movie. -gyps

Yes, that would be amazering! I would love the scene, also, when she makes the monekys fly--that would be entertaining to watch on film.

You mean from the play? Or do you mean watching her sewing wings into monkey-muscle? *cringe*shudder* I'd LOVE to see her try to mop a floor, too.
I'm still hoping for a book-verse movie instead of play-verse. Another reason I have for my ideas is that Elphie's water issues would give the book-movie more depth, being nonexistant in the play. -gyps

The water was a rumor that grew out of the lies Morrible and the Wizard were spreading, a rumor that served very well in Elphie and Fiyero's plan. That's why she doesn't melt when it rains during "I'm not that girl." But like I said...I'm not ready for a movie yet...I prefer my theater.

The only thing I have against the movie is the fact that a lot of people will see it and get misconcieved notions an compare the movie to everything *grumbles about Chicago* and how it will get commercialized and people won't love Kristin and Idina. Unless they were playing their parts, they shouldn't do it because no one else could do justice. But I would like to see the darker, book-oriented side explored because the book plays out perfectly for a movie in my head when I read it. Haha. ;D ;D

Oh yeah I had forgotten about the water issues being non existent in the show yet they were in the book... they're so different, I think if they make a movie, they need to make 2. One for the book and one for the musical! Because they're both good in different aspects but different in many ways.
Please black out all spoilers in your posts~The BoZ

exactly. I would like to see more of the book Fiyero, I wished they fleshed him out more in the musical. Also the Animals and animals deal would be interesting to see in a moive, like how they'd accent the difference when speaking.

I agree. I was starting to tell my friend the difference cuz she had overheard a convo me and my other friend were saying about wicked...and so i explained it to her. Every time i said "Animals" or "animals" she'd ask which one it was. Idina does say "Animals" in the show, but she doesn't say it the other way around, so it'd be interesting to see how they workthrough it.
