That Wicked will sweep. I could be biast, but let's look at the facts. It's a family friendly musical that hilarious and has a great concept and message. It's got an amazing cast, the costumes are out of this world. Ticket presales are in the millions, and the Gershwin (the biggest theatre in NY) is sold out more often than not. I haven't even touched on the music. And if we need anymore proof of Wicked's popularity well then I have two words for you...
Broadway Bears.
Yeah, Wicked will take the Tony's by storm.

If Idina and Kristin are both nominated, I hope Idina wins the Tony. Though I do love Kristin and I wouldn't mind if she won. They both deserve it. Heh, maybe we'll luck out and they both win ;D . I think it would be sooo cool if they gave Idina and Kristin special joint Tony for best actress. haha. It would suck to see only one of them going up there. Since Iidna hasn't won yet, she should win, but I love Cheno too.

Exactly my thoughts ;D . Idina needs her Tony now. I agree with this. I think Idina should win it, not only because Cheno already has one, but because I really think she deserves it more. She just owns that role when she's onstage. And its such a great role, too, but I don't think it's the easiest role. I think if Idina wasn't didn't do such a great job in the show, it wouldn't be as much of a success. Of course the same can be said for Kristin, but, well, I'm an Idina fan first-and-foremost so I'm biased! llam |

I'm totally in agreement that Idina SHOULD win, but Cheno WiLL win. Which is sad cuz yeah she's already got one, but hey it's all about the press and marketability. Sad to say. Yeah I know I'm a downer. But hey, if I think pessimistically now, think how exciting it will be when Idina does win!  That's my whole ploy... |

Yeah. Idina deserves it but Cheno will. It's so hard to compare them. They are both so talented and very sweet. I wish the tony people would be nice nad give a joint one, like they did for the cast of la boheme.

Kristin is an easy pick because she has a role that almost all comedy. I see Elphaba as a much more challenging role emotionally, and because Idina pulls it off so amazingly, I would love to see her win.

When do Tony noms come out? I relaly hope WICKED sweeps the Tonys this year... I want it to win best musical for sure... but Best actress is important too... I think Krisitin has it in the bag and she's my girl... But I'm really pulling for Idina. I think she only gets better and better with the role; whereas Kristin may have already peaked as Glinda.

The Tony Noms hafta come out in May sometime, because the last show of the season (Caroline, or Change) officially opens May 2nd...and then the Awards are in the middle of June, usually.

If we don't have the "Chance" to attend the Tonys ceremony, I certainly hope we can gather together, in a WICKED community... maybe dress as our fave characters and watch together, with muddy buddies, etc...

I think it could be possible for Kristin and Idina to both win Tonies. I may have read somewhere that it has happened that 2 people won the Tony in the same category. I rather hope that happens b/c they both deserve one for Wicked.
