OK, before I went to class, I was just listening to Defying Gravity...If you can perform like that, and you don't get the Tony, the whole awards is absurd. I mean, eeekk...she is so phenomenal.

Ah. The Donna Murphy factor... she IS good. About the only hope I can come up with is that she has been out of "Wonderful Town" a heck of a lot. At one point last fall she was off more than she was on. I know Kristin has been sick a fair amount too, but I don't think we can say at any point Kristin was out more than she was on... (correct me if I'm wrong here) It'd be lovely if Kristin and Idina tied. Though I doubt it will happen, we can always hope, can't we?  Seems a bit far away right now, but still... May 10th... People keep talking about Chenoweth and Menzel splitting the vote and leaving it open for Murphy. To quote Elphie's first word: Horrors! Kristin and/or Idina are way more deserving, even if only for the attendance factor! But we all know they're worth WAAAAAY more than the attendance factor ;D ;D

Ok, I saw this on tonyawards.com that noms come out May 10th. On that date, at 8:30 AM eastern tonyawards.com will be putting the noms on the website. Or you can have the list emailed to you so you don't have to wake up early for that.

Hehe, I signed up for that list ages ago!! I knew I wouldn't wake up that early, even for Dee and Cheno llam.
In a way, I'm hoping that only one of them get nominated for Best Actress. That way, we won't have to worry about them cancelling each other out.

They're both eligible for Best Actress, which means if they get nominated, that's where they'll be. Both of them.

My fellow Wicked obsesser friend and I are having a "Tony Awards Party" llam, basically that just means we're going to watch it together, but I will be SO uber nervous the whole time, biting my nails in anticipation lol.
Just wondering, what other shows do y'all think are going to be up for Best New Musical that would possibly stand in the way of Wicked winning?

Llam. I was kind of thinking the same thing, but Boy from Oz has been pretty populer (...lar) too, right? Also Avenue Q. I think those are the only two that would have a chance against Wicked.

yea..the critics hated Boy From Oz I think though...they just loved Hugh Jackman..and Im not sure if Avenue Q will be eligible since it was nominated for off broadway stuff last year?? Im not sure but i hope that raises Wickeds chances!!

I thought Avenue Q couldn't be nominated. Least it wasn't eligible for Outer Circle. But then again we all know Outer Circle is evil Hee hee I'm hosting a Tony Awards Party too, Layla, since I can't be in NY  |

Personally, I'd love for Kristin to win more than Idina, since I know her work better (and even prefer her) to Idina, although I love Dee. =p

I'm torn now! The first time I saw the show, I wanted Dee to win more than anything but after the second.. Cheno made my night. She couldn't have been funnier, she has an amazing voice, her acting made me sob! I mean, Dee's voice is amazing and her acting's really good, but then.. gah! I don't know who to choose! LLAM I'd be happy if either won, really. ..But, I mean, CHENO! Aaaargh.  |
