I was looking up the lyrics to "No Good Deed" because i need them for a project in my English class and i found this
Unlimited The damage is unlimited To everyone I've tried to help Or tried to love And, oh, Fiyero, you're the latest Victim of my greatest achievement In a long career of distress Every time I could, I tried making good And what I made was a mess!
Now i dont remember that being in show..am i wrong?

It actually goes: "And lucky Fiyero..." not 'oh.' It's from San Francisco but got cut due to time issues. I personally like it a lot. -gyps

I wish that were on the broadway cd. I love extra verses. Know why it got cut?

Time issues. It must have run longer in SF and they had to cut back on things that weren't entirely necesary. -gyps

Yeah for the trip to NY they had to basically cut an hour of material. From what I've heard the cuts were mainly a good thing, but I'd still like to hear the full origional show...even though that's a really long show!

That's one cut I really wish they hadn't done. I love that verse, and Idina is just so great in it.

The show was running "Les Miz" long in SF--three hours. That's a long running time for a show, especially in THIS day and age of audiences with limited attention spans.
However, one song that hit the executioner's block that I'm glad about: "Which way's the Party?"
Honestly, Schwartz, it's not your best. Not a slam, just an opinion. You've done so much better.

Though he DID just replace it with " Dancing Through Life." The time saved is minimal... it was just an artistic choice. I completely agree with it though- " Dancing" is much, much better in all areas, (musically, plot-wise).
As for the extra verse... I wish they'd kept it too. It's nice to hear that bit of "The Wizard and I" come back in this song right at the end of the show. It really marks Elphaba's change from the beginning of the show to the end.

No way! I love Which Way is the Party. Well, most of it is terrible but the first time Norbert sings the chorus it's great. That's really it though! Either that or I just have a great live recording of it!

I have that on my live version of No Good Deed. I like it better with the extra verse.

Her "this is a damned mess!" is what sells that verse. So so good.

Yeah when I first heard that verse I got really confusified. I was all like "Wait a minute! That's not in the show now...or is it and I just don't remember?!?!" It's awesome!

There are three parts in the show where the "Unlimited" theme is brought up. During "The Wizard and I", "Defying Gravity", and at the beginning of "For Good". The latter verse was added in New York. I think it's good how they moved the verses around, because when Idina sings "I'm limited...", I just wanna cry. It's just such a tragic contrast to her "limitless dreams"...

Has anybody yet read or seen the new verse in No One Mourns the Wicked?

There's a new verse in No One Mourns the Wicked? Cool. Is it in the show now or was it cut before?
