He goes 'What does it say on your shirt? Defy Gravity?' So I say 'Yeah.' He says 'What does that mean?' If this guy was seriously freaking me out, I'd say something along the lines of, "It means to go against the laws of gravity - fly."

Right and then fly away on your little portable lift platform, right Drew? That would be a way to REALLY freak out the creep...

I'm in this club for school, and the other day someone was writing on a chalk board with green and pink chalk. Someone else was like, "That's just like you to pick 2 colors that clash like pink and green" and I was like "But pink goes good with green!" Needless to say, they looked at me funny... But this is the group I'm going to NY to see Wicked with, so they'll understand...eventually.
This is more of a Wizard of Oz moment, but I heard this on Sex and the City:
Stanford: Ooh! Gucci and Dolce and Dior! Carrie: Oh my!

Hehe...I said that to my mom once ("Pink goes good with green!") and she, former English teacher that she is, automatically said "You mean goes *well*," before realizing what I was saying. I was quite amused.

Today we were filming some publicity/commercial stuff for the show I'm in, Peter Pan, and they had me jumping off a rock and I completely did a Cheno-esque "La la, la la" little jump-leg kick thing. And everyone started laughing hysterically and I was like "What? Did I do something wrong" and my friend yells out "You Cheno-jumped" And then I knew what she was talking about. So I think I might add a "Cheno-Jump" somewhere in the show, just for chips and giggles.

This goes back a few days, but during the brush up rehearsal between weekend performances of my summer show our Annie Oakley was wearing a BRIGHT pink shirt, (Galinda Ozdust dress color) and her new boyfriend, also in the cast, was wearing an Elphaba-green button up shirt. Of course, I had to comment on how smashingly pink goes with green. My boyfriend was also wearing his black Wicked shirt and I had my Shiz U shirt on.... it was like "Annie Get Your Wicked." ;D

This from last Thursday, and it doesn't completely involve me but it's still Wicked, lol. It was opening for my show, peter pan, and my friend sarah plays a pirate and they are supposed to look really crazy and funny so she hairsprayed her hair so it was big and poofy and someone shouts out "Hey, you look like the Wicked Witch of the West!" and she completely freaks out and goes and finds me. On the way, another person says she looks like the WWotW. She is getting even more happy. Finally she finds me -- after barging into the boys dressing room -- and she's like "YOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE WHAT PEOPLE ARE TELLING ME I LOOK LIKE!!" and me and my friend Nate were like "Um..." "Er..." "The..." and then Nick, the guy playing Capt. Hook goes "The Wicked Witch of the West!" And then I was sad cuz no one told me I looked like a Wicked character. All night. At all.

And then I was sad cuz no one told me I looked like a Wicked character. All night. At all. But you can Cheno-jump! I was reading Mystic River by Dennis Lehane before bed last night, and it comes to a point where it is describing a character, and it describes her youthfulness as 'defying gravity'. I had to read the words twice to make sure it wasn't a random obsession moment. Then I marked the page so I could find where it said 'defying gravity' again quickly.

llamoc..the elphie cackle rockifys ;D
i know i keep posting things that happen from my camp but another funny thing happened today...we were all performing different monolagues [sp?] and 2 people had the same one..and the director was like "well its okay because both girls will have a different interpretation and will perform it totally different. That happens alot on Broadway. A performer leaves the cast, and someone new joins with a new take on the character. For example......." this is where he shoots me and my friends a look. "KRISTIN CHENOWETH..." :::cheno squeals from me at this point::: "has left Wicked" ::this is where i make a sad face along with my 2 friends:: "and a new actress is going to take her role. She will have a new take on Glinda. Some people will love her..some people will think shes better than Kristin..some people will think shes just the same as Kristin. And some people will just go" ::puts hands on hips as if hes me:: "shes not THE kristin chenoweth therefore i dont like her at all" he laughs...then everyone looks at me and laughs. Hey..I never said i would say that about JLT!
then a few minutes later hes like "now read your monolagues as if your making a huge decision...like whether to go out to lunch with...hmm this ones for Courtney...Kristin Chenoweth or Idina Menzel." hahaha ..my directors really funny and he actually appreciates Wicked alot unlike people/teachers from my school!
also i just found out this guy who works at my camp works in the orchestra pit of wicked and is playing "what is this feeling" for my friends and i for this cabaret show at the end of camp!! llam its so ozsome..i cant wait to meet him!

I did the Wicked Elphaba cackle again.. this time i wasn't drunk either. crazy! People tell me I cackle all the time when I'm laughing really hard...oddness. A while ago I was in a show where I played a witch, and I got to design my own costume. So naturally, I chose green makeup. Anyway, today I saw a bunch of people from drama club and they all kept calling me Elphie. It pleased me greatly. ;D

it was like "Annie Get Your Wicked." ;D Or "Elphie Get Your Broom!" I wore my Wicked shirt to rehearsal and a bunch of people were commenting on it - I made a mental note to myself: "When needing attention at rehearsal... where T-shirt of hot new Broadway musical!"
