JEALOUS OF EVERYONE! I'm not in a show!!! Evidentally b/c I didn't give the director my phone number correctly!!!! But its all good. Cuz I'm Stage Manager again (I did it last semester for The Glass Menagerie)... best part is I'm Stage Manager of SaSa's show... which means I can totally drive her up a wall- which is always fun! (Kidding... I think ). (Now watch- she's gonna kick me of the board... since she "has the power". Oh well....)

Last year I was in chorus for a production of evita and i just finished up a 3 weekend performance of "Oliver" as the Artful Dodger
lemme tell you it was interesting being a 16 year old female playing a 10 year old little boy.

I just played Dodger in Oliver! this summer at age 13. Dodger is not 10-years-old -- he's an undersized 18. It says so at the beginning of the script.

I hear that. I played a 9 year old boy last semester in a production our Drama Club did for Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
Out of the all the people in the club to get cast as Andy, the choose me. Duct tape a plenty, I tell you!

I am!! Two, actually!!
I'm in the ensemble of 'Guys & Dolls' which is lots of fun, and I'm playing Elizabeth Proctor in 'The Crucible', which is really depressing. But still fun.

I'm in Grease...but I'm just ensemble. Oh well. That's what you get when your theatre teacher gives parts based on favoritism/seniority. I have SLIGHT favorism, but I'm only a freshman. Hopefully I"ll work UP as I get older!
And I've done about fifteen shows, as of right now, NOT counting Grease!

Calamity Jane is over. To say it clearly without saying much, I was crying before we were out of the driveway of the cast party.

Oh I envy you, Seussical rocks. I would say go for Gertrude McFuzz, she's the lead. If you want a smaller lead, Mayzie and Mrs. Mayor (or Mayor's Wife, I don't remember what she's called) are good parts too.

Unfortunately, this is a very competitive group who is doing it, and it's more of a question of "what role will they let me audition for" instead of "which role do I want to audition for." I'll probably just go in and sing for any female part.

I'm currently trying to pick a great audition song for this Tom Sawyer musical at a theater in my area. Does anyone know anything about this musical that could help me?
