I posted a while ago that I was in "The Threepenny Opera" and, obviously, we finished our run by now. Last weekend was it... the audiences were generally great. Our second Friday night performance was one of those dream audiences, though. They laughed at everything that night... even stuff we didn't realize was funny. Anyway, now I'm on to summer stock. I'm in "Annie Get Your Gun." Though I'm officially ensemble, the director has done a little shuffling with the script and I play "Annie's Best Friend" who also happens to sing "Moonshine Lullaby." So, though I'm ensemble, I have a solo!! ;D

I'm now playing Zeke & a Winkie, LLAM, I call myself the Wonder Winkie, but our cast couldn't stop laughing when they read that line. Also our director is requiring our Witch & Glinda to read Wicked. When I said "Oh, Glinda & the Witch were best friends." our Glinda was like "FRIENDS?", our Glinda is hillarious.

Is The Rats similar to Mousetrap? If not, is it a play or a musical? Just wondering b/c I'm a huge Agatha Christie fan.

I'm sorry I asked b/c I was just reading a book about Agatha Christie and shortly after I asked I found it. It's not similar to Mousetrap, but it's awesome that her plays are still being performed.

They changed my Part from Zeke to Hickory a couple of weeks ago. I am also an understudy/backup for the Tin Man, Scarecrow & Lion. This weekend is the Haynes Apperson Festival & the cast of our play is going to be in the parade, but the regular lion can't come so I get to play the Lion on Saturday.

I am currently involved in a production of "Once on this Island" It is an operetta/ sung through musical..... meaning, there is VERY LITTLE dialogue, mostly music. This musical is a Carribian addaptation of the original "Little Mermaid".... not the disnefied version, the real version, where ariel doesent get kissed in time by the prince, so she turnes into sea foam and dies. It is set on an Island bassed off of Haiti, with the elitist caucations (lighter skined), and the lower class Afro- Hatian (darker skined). A girl who was washed ashore and dillivered to a darker skined family, Ti Moune, falls in love with a lighter skinned boy, Daniel. You can pretty much figure out the rest...... wait..... it is not the classic story so.... maby you cant.... *sigh* So, Daniel has a horrible car accident and Ti Moune nurses him back to health. Then he goes back to his side of the island. Ti moune feeling the need to be wih him goes to his palace, the Hotel Beauxhomme, which is not a hotel, and his last name is Beauxhomme, and it is french for beautiful man, and sounds like a certain body part..... we, the cast, crack up when we say it..... neways.... so Ti moune goes to the hotel and uses her charm to get by the gate keeper and through the gate. Once she gets inside, she find Daniel, who's leg still hasn't fully healed, and she heals him.... inuendo, outuendo. Then she goes to a ball with Daniel, and meets his wife to be. So Ti Moune gets banished from the hotel by Daniels fianse, and she waits outside the gate for two weeks, not eating, sleeping, or moving. Then Daniel and his now wife come by the gate after the marrage cerimony, and Ti moune dies and becomes a tree that breaks open the gate so it can never be closed again, and so she can always be close to Daniel. Lovely story, isnt it? So I was cast as Agwe, the goddess of water. Ok, it is a great show, and if you ever get a chance to see it, you should. Sorry for the long disertation
