i hope so, i would hate to see her play Elphaba. I don't want this moive to be a movie for pop star dreamers! she has no talent anymore.
I would love to see the OBC come back and make the movie

I would love to see the OBC come back and make the movie *shudders* Brittney Spears?! that's worse than Avril Lavigne playing her. i agree with twiztidelphaba, if the OBC did a movie that would rock! but it proboly wont happen. oh well. if they are going to make a movie, cast it well, dont have it become a name-dropper movie. |

My Movie Cast
Elphaba: Book-Hillary Swank(Has the look and I know she can do the character). Musical-I can’t think of any movie actresses but Idina is Elphaba and hopefully the Rent movie will make her a well known name enough to be casted(the only problem with her though is age). My Unpopular Choice- Jennifer Garner, she has the right look and acting chops to portray Elphaba as good as Idina (see thirteen going on thirty and her show, she can switch from sweet and vulnerable to daring easily) and rumor has it that she has a great voice.
Glinda:Book- Reese, Cheno is like her singing clone lol and she can pull it off I thought it was her for a minute when I saw the ‘you know what’ tape, Musical-Reese (again if she can sing which I sure she can’t but who knows, movie pulls miracles all the time, Chicago turned Rene Zellweger into a decent singer, they could do the same with Reese) But if Cheno becomes known with her slew of new movies then her(the only thing going against her is her age though). My Unpopular Choice-Kirsten Dunst(She can semi sing, not perfect but okay with the right lessons, and can do the character wonderfully and the big thing going for her is that she in the good age range where she could convincingly play a student and then a 20 something)
Fieryo: Book-Christian Bale(he’s like a younger Johnny Depp who amazingly talented and gorgeous and sexi and see Newsies and his latest movies in theaters- Howl’s Moving Castle and Batman) Movie- I pick Jonathan Rhys Myers, he is just gorgeous and sexi and the boy can sing too, he is a semi known, here’s his pic, you might know him, he was in Vanity Fair with Reese and just in that new Elvis miniseries and was in Bend it Like Becham. My Unpopular Choice(s)- Shane West(he has the attitude and can sing like Norbert and Pascal, watch Walk to Remember and you might agree. And like Dunst he’s in the good age range.), and (don’t bash me) Joey Lawrence(he can sing and is now unknown but just seems good for this role considering he plays Fieryo type characters all the time) and last Christian Bale(he can sing, not good but okay, and he’s a brilliant actor, I mean BRILLIANT, plus he has the right look and age range and it’s more of my newsies-fandom fantasy than practical. damnit if only he was a better singer lol!)
Morrible- I thought the same thing, Maggie Smith, or Bette Middler, or Gwen Close
Wizard-whoever said it first had a great idea, Christopher Walken, perfect
Boq-Eliah Wood, great choice whoever said it first, can he sing though? Did he sing in that Oliver movie? My Unpopular Choice-Topher Grace(if he can sing and was shorter he’ll be perfect for the role, he’s funny as hell too and would add comedy to the part)
Nessa-Jenna Malone(she just has that Nessa Rose quality to her and I think she can sing too)or Jenna Leigh Green( I just love her, and I’d love to see her be a nasty character once more like she did in Sabrina and she is known, well as “Libby” and is in the good age range like Dunst) My Unpopular Choice-Mandy Moore(Watch Saved and you’ll see, nuff said)

I thought the Wonderful World of Disney cast was great, reverie, but I think WWoD would make Victor Garbor The Wizard, because they'd want to feature him more prominantly. Also, you'd need the Cheno in a Disney movie, because she's been in all the musical-made-for-TV movies Garbor's been in...minus Godspell, but that wasn't made-for-TV and it was a very long time ago.

Was that Chena in Annie? Well if it's so I guess Disney would have her reprise her role, and I think Disney would have Usher as Fieryo because they had him before in Pinochio and I guess for Elphaba they wouldn't do Ashlee simpsom if they have cheno for Glinda, oh god they'd probably choose Brandy for Elphaba! Or Ashanti or Beyonce! *okay breath, it's not going to happen...I hope* well anyways they'd have someone in the same age range as Cheno. Yeah they would have Garber in a bigger role than Dillamond.
Okay for the serious casting I forgot to put my choice for Dillamond, and that is John Cleese(the play actor reminded me so much of him and Cleese is really tall too and I think he can sing)

Britney will never be Elphaba, no one would be that dumb to cast her, she's box office toxic(no pun intended lol) Ashley Simpson has a better chance at being Elphaba than Britney(oh I can imagine Ashlee's Defying Gravity lol,the wrong song 'the wizard and I' comes on and she does a jig with her broom)
Seriously if there ever was a movie, they'd either cast Idina or Ana Gastyre as Elphaba and if worst comes to worst they'd cast Anne Hathaway(who's rumored to be #1 on universal's list to play Elphaba) who is semi okay considering she did stage musicals way before movies and can actually sing(not sure on how well), she's better than britney that's for sure
And Universal probably knows by now that Wicked has a HUGE fan base that would more than revolt (more like hold hunger strikes, boycott, and threaten suicide lol) if any pop singer other than Joey Mac took part in the film
I think the OBC contract thing is just a rumor that came after the news of the Rent movie using OBCs, a rumor that I pray is true
